The Boerboel

The South African Mastiff

Boerboels' physical strength is only matched by the strength of their devotion to their homes and families. The Boerboel breed is descended from dogs brought by Dutch settlers to South Africa who defended the homestead from hyenas, lions, leopards, and other dangerous wildlife. Today, they are prized as watchdogs, guardians, and protective family companions that adore kids.

The Black Boerboel

The Black South African Mastiff

The black Boerboel is now, again, officially accepted as part of the Boerboel breed. Due to the fact that for a certain period of time they where not accepted, black Boerboels are not very common. There are few dogs that look as beautiful as a healthy active Black Boerboel with short shiny hair. The overwhelming advantage of the black dog is of course the fact that you can not see him at night.

The Caucasian Shepherd

Caucasian Ovcharka

Loyal, strong, and courageous, the Caucasian Shepherd Dog is a fierce family protector. They were bred to care for flocks and defend the home against wild predators in the rough Caucasus Mountain region. They're also known as Caucasian Mountain Dogs, Caucasian Ovcharka Dogs, Caucasian Owcharka or just CO.

The Boercharka

The ultimate protection dog

When Russia meets Afrika. The Boercharka is not an official breed but is an F1 mastiff hybrid between the Boerboel and the Caucasian Ovcharka, part of a small breeding program in Belgium. The Boercharka combines strong protective instincts, power and speed with kindness and love for their owners.

Strong, powerful, very tall and muscular but fast and trainable; the Boercharka has demonstrated to be the ultimate guardian dog.
