The Boercharka is not an official breed but is an F1 mastiff hybrid between the Boerboel and the Caucasian Ovcharka, part of a small breeding program in Belgium. The Boercharka combines strong protective instincts, power and speed with kindness and love for their owners and children.

Strong, powerful, very tall and muscular but fast and trainable; the Boercharka has demonstrated to be the ultimate guardian dog. Boercharka's are very tall and very strong dogs. Robust but athletic combining the muscularity of the Boerboel with the speed and the athletic built from de Caucasian Shepherd. 

They have a short double coat which is an important advantage to thrive in different climates. The long coat of the Caucasian Shepherd can be a disadvantage in warmer climates and the short coat of the Boerboel doesn't protect the dog in colder climates.

Boercharka's have the protective instincts of both breeds. They are fierce protectors but compared to the Caucasian shepherd they are milder, better manageable. They are stable, confident, self aware with an incredible strength. They are a gentle giant with children but at the same time a fierce protector for your property. With this dog in the house you never feel unsafe again. 

We feel that the Boercharka is an ideal protection dog for households with a large garden that want a stable, intelligent and strong protection dog.
